I found out a way to get the good microphones set up to my computer so I can record using them. I did a couple test records, and man, it sounds like Hollywood! Not a single bit of fizzyness, and/or other random things. The only downside of this all is…the preamp that I’m using is actually a full fledged amp, and…well..I have to carry it around while I’m recording then, not fun. So even though it works, hooks up to my computer, and sounds fantastic, I gotta lug this 30 pound amp around-That wouldn’t be very good if I’m trying to bring it to Andrew’s house

So, in the end…I will probably buy that other preamp, if need be.

As of now, nothing (interestingly) new is going on. I’ve been very busy with school-as Andrew has been too…Usually, I finish school at 6pm, and that’s not really enough time to do anything-well, it could be..but I just don’t have any good ideas, Andrews the one with the (good) ideas. And with his ideas..well, I wouldn’t want to take credit for them..so I’d like to do them with him.

But trying to get together is really hard to do during the school year (Not like I asked to really…). Yes, even the week ends are packed.

Oh! I may purchase a pre-amp considering my Dad will let me use his microphones if I do. That means good audio, no fizzyness! The only problem is, the place that sells the pre-amp I want for fairly cheap…is…moving their warehouse, and they keep sending my Dad wrong orders, so…I don’t want to go through talking on the phone and telling them they gave me a guitar or something…

Solunera News: On my side, I haven’t even touched Solunera, I really have to get together with Andrew and..do stuff. He’s the one with the storyline all thought up…I’m the one that can take pictures… I’m lame.

I don’t know how my post turned out, but I’m not going to take the time to spell check it…and grammar check it…it’s probably really bad.

Well… I haven’t been posting lately… because I haven’t. I don’t even think that many people visit here. Oh well, better to be Mayor of a Ghost Town than a resident of Chicago any day, heh. Anywho, just a couple updates on operations here at Livebrick:

Firstly, there has been a lull in making movies mostly due to school… it’s taken more of a physical toll than I thought, and I cram my brain full of Daft Punk all the time I’m at the computer. Sort of my own personal euphoria. Also, I am working on the scripts for the series I’m doing for my friends at The Chapel in Grayslake. As soon as the scripts are done and I’ve finished the sets and started filming, I might make some headway on Solunera. I have some good plans for that movie. GOOD PLANS I TELL YOU!!! eheheheheh…

As for Nathaniel, I have no idea what that kid’s doing… I think he got shipped to Mexico or something. Oh well.

Next on the list of my excuses; I’ve been looking at freeware blender, asking myself “IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET THIS TO WORK!!”. I figure that’d be good for our space series… because we need 3 dimensional views of… things.

Also, if you haven’t known, my massively awesome animation studio is FINISHED. Coming in at a pricetag I am regretting! Actually, no, not really. I’m A-OK with it. I’ve got an L shaped desk with 3 feet by 4 feet of open, lit space for animating. Perfect. Now to make the perfect movie..

And… uhmm… that’s about it.  Interesting, eh? Oh wait, I’m trying to finish Luigi’s Mansion for once. (XD)

I just got my computer turned on… my NEW one. I can’t use it for several day (have to program the mother board) but IT DIDN’T BLOW UP!

Soon I will be animating in suave awesomeness… yes I said it: Suave.

Well… school started today. Yes, I know, that’s bad because I can’t make any animations for a weekly release! haha, like I did that in the first place. But school is… school. Can’t say I like it, can’t say I don’t like it. So what’re you going to do?

In other news… I just finalized a deal with the guy I’m going to be making animations for (with some help from Nathaniel) and this is BIG  to Livebrick: it means that we actually have a client who will (if all goes well, and here’s hoping) hire us for future work… and the more available funding we have, the better our animations get, and the more willing we are to make them good!

And… there’s always that paypal link….

Well… at least the parts have arrived… but I’m still waiting on a couple more things (vista, a fan, my other DVD drive, my motherboard). At least the monitor is better than anything I’ve ever seen… 20 inches of widescreen LCD bliss… huzzah.

Hi everyone, Nathaniel here. Tomorrow morning I am leaving for a two week vacation, Yay! I am bringing my laptop, but I probably won’t have internet access the majority of the time, except for when I notice a unlocked wifi connection, or I’m in the hotel; but why would I want to spend the whole time on the computer anyway? I sorta started a brickfilm with my friend, but I won’t be able to finish it before vacation…ehehe. Anyway, See ya in two weeks!

Huzzah for me! I have ordered my computer… which means in 4 days I’m going to have a boxed pile of hardware and wires. Fun for me. I am REALLY wanting to have it set up by Saturday (because school starts on Monday, unyay for me) and the next day I’m going to Ikea to pick up a desk and a couple lamps. So all’s good.

Also, I’m hoping to get into 3D CGI movies, because I found out about a program called Blender: it’s a great freeware 3d animation program that knocked it’s original creators out of business (because it was… free). So I’ll also tell Nathaniel we should look into that…

Soon I’m going to be fiddling around with claymating, and working with Adobe Premiere and After Effects to see what I can really do with them. For the rest of the year I’m going to try to get together with Nathaniel and *try* to shoot 2 to 3 minute brickfilms for a monthly release… but first I need to see if Nathaniel is willing.

Oh… my set isn’t even up so I can’t take pictures, heh.

I finally took some pictures of where I make the Brickfilms and such. Now Andrew has to take some pictures! Of course, I don’t think he’s quite ready for it. He’s making a computer right now…or getting ready to make one.

Sorry about all the mess in the first picture, I can’t seem to get the wires looking nice. :/ (But everything works!) At least I tried to tidy up a bit by getting a wireless mouse, of course then you got your WIRED charger for the mouse. You can never win. Nah, that’s not the real reason I bought that mouse (Its just one of the reasons), it is extremely comfortable, since I use the computer so much–Why am I rambling on about random things?! *CUT*
